The RF Elements HG3-TP-A20-30 is a 20.5 dBi asymmetrical horn antenna engineered for the 5180–6000 MHz band with a 30° azimuth beamwidth. Its horn geometry produces naturally depressed side lobes and low back radiation, making it well suited for high-density point-to-multipoint deployments where co-channel interference and sector-to-sector isolation are critical operational concerns. The antenna delivers a stable, balanced radiation pattern across the full operating band with optimized VSWR, reducing the need for per-channel pattern compensation and simplifying network planning in congested 5 GHz environments. A solid aluminum body paired with stainless steel hardware and ABS and high-density polyethylene components ensures structural durability in outdoor installations. The integrated TwistPort waveguide quick-lock connector provides a direct, low-loss RF interface to compatible RF Elements TwistPort-equipped radios, eliminating the pigtail losses and mechanical weak points associated with coaxial connections. An adjustable mounting bracket accommodates pole-mount installation with flexible orientation adjustment.

Key features & benefits

  • Asymmetrical Horn Geometry — The horn antenna design inherently suppresses side lobe and back radiation without additional filtering, improving signal-to-interference ratios in co-located multi-sector deployments.
  • 20.5 dBi Gain at 30° Azimuth — A 20.5 dBi gain figure combined with a 30° azimuth beamwidth delivers focused directional coverage, allowing higher sector counts per site while maintaining link budget margins.
  • 5180–6000 MHz Wideband Operation — Full coverage across the 5180–6000 MHz range supports multiple 5 GHz sub-bands with a single antenna, simplifying inventory and enabling flexible channel planning.
  • Stable Pattern Across Full Frequency Range — Consistent radiation pattern behavior across the entire operating band ensures predictable link performance without pattern distortion at band edges.
  • Balanced Horizontal and Vertical Beam Patterns — Symmetrical beam shaping in both planes supports reliable coverage for both horizontally and vertically polarized link configurations.
  • TwistPort Waveguide Quick-Lock Connector — The TwistPort interface provides a tool-free, secure waveguide connection to compatible radios, eliminating coaxial jumpers and their associated insertion loss and weathering risks.
  • Solid Aluminum Body Construction — An aluminum structural body with stainless steel hardware and ABS and high-density polyethylene components delivers long-term outdoor durability with resistance to corrosion and mechanical stress.
  • Adjustable Mounting Bracket — The included separate adjustable bracket supports pole-mount installation with angular adjustment for precise beam alignment in the field.
