About Mimosa

Multi-gigabit unlicensed wireless engineered for WISP.

Mimosa Networks (now part of Airspan Networks following acquisition) is one of the recognized brands in unlicensed and lightly licensed fixed wireless infrastructure, with engineering focus on multi-gigabit point-to-point backhaul, scalable point-to-multipoint base stations, and the Mimosa Cloud management platform that ties the deployment together. The portfolio anchors on the B5 and B5x point-to-point radios in 4.9-6.4 GHz and the higher-frequency 24 GHz B24 variant for short-range high-capacity backhaul, A5 PtMP base stations supporting GPS-synced TDD operation across WISP service areas, and C5x subscriber units for the customer end of the link.

EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested Mimosa SKUs in our Doral, FL warehouse: B5 and B5c point-to-point backhaul radios, A5 series PtMP base stations, C5x subscriber units in single and integrated antenna variants, mounting hardware, and Mimosa power supplies. Larger project orders and less common SKUs are quoted from distribution with typical 1-2 week lead times. We can pre-configure radios for WISP rollouts (cloud onboarding, SSID assignment, alignment recipes) before shipping.

The Mimosa lineup is the practical choice for WISPs deploying high-capacity PtP backhaul links where unlicensed 5 GHz throughput limits are a bottleneck (B5 delivers higher capacity than typical 5 GHz radios on the same channel widths), fixed wireless ISPs running A5 PtMP base stations for residential and SMB subscriber distribution where carrier-grade GPS-sync and TDD scheduling matters, integrators managing multi-site WISP networks who value the Mimosa Cloud platform for centralized monitoring and firmware management, and ISPs upgrading from older Ubiquiti AirMax or Cambium PMP to higher-capacity Mimosa platforms.

Product lines we stock

Our active Mimosa catalog sorts into three practical categories. B-series point-to-point B5 and B5c for 4.9-6.4 GHz backhaul, B5x for cost-optimized PtP, B24 for short-range high-capacity 24 GHz links. A5 point-to-multipoint base stations A5c and A5-360 for omnidirectional and sectored WISP coverage with GPS-sync and TDD scheduling. C5x subscriber units integrated-antenna and external-antenna variants for residential and SMB CPE deployments.

Frequently asked

Mimosa questions, WISP answers.

Specific to WISPs, fixed wireless ISPs, integrators managing multi-site networks, and ISPs upgrading from older PtP and PtMP platforms to Mimosa B5 and A5.

Do you stock Mimosa in Miami?

Yes. We stock B5 and B5c point-to-point radios, A5 series PtMP base stations, C5x subscriber units (integrated and external antenna variants), mounting hardware, and power supplies. Most in-stock orders ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET. Less common SKUs and large project orders quoted from distribution with typical 1-2 week lead times.

Is Mimosa the same as Airspan now?

Mimosa Networks was acquired by Airspan Networks and now operates as part of the Airspan portfolio. The Mimosa brand and product lines continue to ship under the Mimosa name with continued development and the Mimosa Cloud platform remains the management interface. For B2B buyers, the practical experience continues largely unchanged: same SKUs, same cloud, same support channels.

Mimosa B5 versus Ubiquiti airFiber versus Cambium PTP: how do they compare?

All three target unlicensed and lightly licensed point-to-point backhaul. Mimosa B5 typically delivers strong capacity per channel on 5 GHz with built-in 4x4 MIMO and good interference handling. Ubiquiti airFiber has wider deployed base in WISP community and lower per-link cost on some configurations. Cambium PTP series typically delivers strong link availability and is preferred where carrier-grade reliability matters most. Choice often comes down to existing installed base, capacity needs, and per-link cost target. Tell us the link spec and we recommend the right option from the three.

Does A5 PtMP make sense versus stringing multiple PtP links?

A5 PtMP is the right choice when one base station needs to serve multiple subscriber sites within its coverage radius (typical 5-15 mile sector covering dozens of residential or SMB customers). PtMP advantages: shared backhaul investment across many customers, faster customer activation, simpler tower coordination. Multiple PtP links are the right choice when individual sites need dedicated high capacity (multi-Gbps per customer) or when the customer distribution is sparse enough that PtMP economics don't work. For most WISP residential broadband, PtMP. For high-value SMB or backhaul links, PtP.

What is Mimosa Cloud and is it free?

Mimosa Cloud is the centralized management platform for Mimosa radios: device inventory, firmware management, link monitoring, alerts, and configuration push across multiple sites. Cloud onboarding is included with the radio purchase (no per-radio license fee) and the management platform itself is free for basic use. Advanced features and longer data retention may have subscription tiers depending on the current Mimosa or Airspan offering. Self-hosted management is also supported for ISPs preferring not to use cloud.

What is the Mimosa RMA process at EhubAmerica?

Send the unit with a brief problem description and the original order or invoice reference. We issue replacement within 48 hours of receipt for units under warranty. Mimosa and Airspan manufacturer warranty terms vary by SKU but are typically 1-2 years. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not damage from lightning, tower errors, or installation issues.
