About Tycon Power Systems

Outdoor PoE power, off-grid solar, and ruggedized DC for the field.

Tycon Power Systems is a US manufacturer specializing in outdoor PoE power solutions, off-grid solar systems, and ruggedized DC power for wireless networks, remote security installations, and field IoT deployments. The portfolio anchors on three product families: PoE injectors and midspans (Gigabit, multi-port, 24V passive and 802.3af / at / bt active) for wireless AP and outdoor camera installs, the UPSPro outdoor UPS line for tower-grade power backup at remote sites, and the RemotePro solar power systems that combine solar panels, batteries, charge controllers, and load monitoring for off-grid deployments where utility power is impractical.

EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested Tycon SKUs in our Doral, FL warehouse: Gigabit PoE injectors across the 24V passive and 802.3 active ranges, multi-port PoE midspans for distributed AP installs, the UPSPro outdoor UPS sizes for typical wireless tower sites, the RemotePro solar power kits in standard wattage configurations, TPDIN-MONITOR for remote site management and SNMP visibility, and surge protection modules for outdoor equipment. For full solar site designs (panel sizing, battery autonomy, load budgets), we work with you on a sizing exercise before quoting the kit.

The Tycon lineup is the practical choice for WISPs and ISPs powering outdoor APs and CPEs in field deployments, integrators installing outdoor security cameras and access control where the existing electrical run cannot reach, tower companies needing UPS backup on remote cellular and microwave sites, agricultural and infrastructure operators deploying IoT sensors in off-grid locations, and government and utility field operations where reliable power independent of utility grid is operationally critical.

Product lines we stock

Our active Tycon Power catalog sorts into five practical categories. PoE injectors (single-port Gigabit 24V passive and 802.3af / at / bt active in standard and outdoor enclosures). PoE midspans (multi-port indoor and outdoor PoE midspans for distributed AP and camera installs). UPSPro outdoor UPS (battery-backed PoE injectors and DC power systems for tower-grade remote site backup). RemotePro solar power kits (panels, batteries, charge controllers, enclosures sized for typical wireless and camera loads). TPDIN monitoring and surge protection (SNMP-managed power distribution, surge suppression, remote reset and reporting).

Frequently asked

Tycon questions, outdoor power answers.

Specific to WISPs, ISPs, security camera integrators, tower companies, and IoT field operators sourcing PoE, UPS, or solar power solutions for outdoor and remote site deployments.

Do you stock Tycon Power Systems in Miami?

Yes. We stock PoE injectors (single-port Gigabit 24V passive and 802.3af / at / bt active), multi-port PoE midspans, UPSPro outdoor UPS sizes, RemotePro solar power kits in standard configurations, TPDIN-MONITOR units, and surge protection modules. Most in-stock orders ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET. Custom solar site builds and large project orders are quoted with lead times of 1-2 weeks.

Which Tycon PoE injector fits my Ubiquiti or Cambium radio?

Match the PoE standard to the radio. Ubiquiti AirMax CPEs typically use 24V passive PoE (Tycon TP-POE-24G and similar). Ubiquiti UniFi and most Cambium PMP / ePMP radios use 802.3af or 802.3at active PoE (Tycon TP-POE-1G-AT and similar). Newer high-power devices may require 802.3bt. Tell us the radio model and we recommend the right Tycon SKU. We also stock cable runs and surge protection bundles for typical outdoor PoE deployments.

Can you size a Tycon solar power kit for my remote site?

Yes. To size a RemotePro solar kit, we need: the total continuous load (radios, cameras, switches in watts), the desired battery autonomy (days of backup with no sun), the site latitude (for solar panel daily generation estimate), and any peak load events (camera lights at night, scheduled high-power tasks). With those inputs, our engineering desk calculates panel wattage, battery amp-hours, and charge controller current and recommends the right RemotePro kit. Typical turnaround for a sizing recommendation is 24-48 hours.

What is UPSPro and how is it different from a regular UPS?

UPSPro is Tycon's outdoor-rated, weatherproof UPS line designed specifically for tower and remote-site PoE applications. Unlike a standard indoor UPS (intended for an office or rack room), UPSPro is built for extreme temperature ranges, sealed against moisture, and integrates DC power output for PoE radios directly. The battery is typically a sealed AGM or LiFePO4 sized for hours of backup at typical radio loads. For cellular tower sites, microwave PtP sites, and outdoor camera deployments, UPSPro is the practical choice over rack-room UPS systems.

Do Tycon products integrate with SNMP monitoring?

Yes for the TPDIN-MONITOR and managed UPSPro lines. TPDIN-MONITOR provides SNMP visibility, remote power cycling per outlet, voltage and current telemetry, and threshold alerting, which integrates with most network management platforms (LibreNMS, Zabbix, PRTG, SolarWinds). For ISPs and WISPs running NMS at the NOC, this lets you monitor remote site power state without a truck roll. Our engineering desk can help with SNMP OID setup and template integration.

What is the Tycon RMA process at EhubAmerica?

Send the unit with a brief problem description and the original order or invoice reference. We issue replacement within 48 hours of receipt for units under warranty. Tycon manufacturer warranty is typically 2-3 years for most product lines (PoE injectors, UPSPro, RemotePro). Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not damage from lightning, power surges beyond rated protection, water ingress in improperly weatherproofed installs, or incorrect wiring.
