What it is and who it is for

The Bosch D8128D OctoPOPIT is an eight-point expander that adds 8 off-board points to a Bosch (Radionics) control panel. Each point is supervised with a 1 k ohm end-of-line resistor, and the module includes a set of DIP switches.

The module runs on 12 VDC nominal and draws 25 mA maximum on standby and 50 mA maximum in alarm. It can sit up to 200 ft (60 m) from the control panel in a separate enclosure, wires to a terminal strip or to Molex connectors when several modules are used, and operates from 32 to 120 F (0 to 49 C).

Bosch lists it for the D9412GV2, D7412GV2, D7212GV2, D9412G, D7412G, D7212G, D9412, D7412 and D7212 panels; the D7212 models are not listed for commercial fire use. Mounting options include the D137 bracket in D8103, D8108A or D8109 enclosures.

  • Best for: adding eight hardwired points to a Bosch G Series or earlier Radionics intrusion panel.
  • System fit: Bosch D9412GV2, D7412GV2, D7212GV2, D9412G, D7412G, D7212G, D9412, D7412 and D7212 control panels.
  • Important to know: installation and programming should be done by a qualified alarm technician; the D7212 models are not listed for commercial fire applications.
