Overview

What it is and who it is for

The Cambium Networks C050045B041A is the connectorized 5 GHz 450b radio, Rest of World (RoW) version, for the Cambium 450 platform. It has no integrated antenna and connects to an external antenna. The 450b is a subscriber and backhaul module that runs as a subscriber module (SM) on a 450 point-to-multipoint network or as one end of a point-to-point (PTP) link.

The ultra-wideband radio covers 4900 to 5925 MHz with 5, 10, 15, 20, 30 and 40 MHz channels and delivers up to 300 Mbps aggregate throughput in a 40 MHz channel, using 2x2 MIMO OFDM with adaptive modulation up to 256QAM. Maximum transmit power is +27 dBm (MIMO, combined V+H). Cambium rates range up to 64 km (40 mi) in PMP mode and up to 200 km (124 mi) in PTP mode, with 3 to 5 ms typical latency.

The connectorized unit measures 24 x 4 x 9 cm, weighs 0.9 kg with its bracket, is rated IP67 and mounts on 2.5 to 7.6 cm poles. It draws 9 W typical and 12 W peak from a 20 to 32 V DC input and has a Gigabit Ethernet port plus a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphone alignment.

  • Best for: 450 subscriber sites or point-to-point backhaul links that need a 5 GHz radio paired with an external antenna of the installer's choice.
  • System fit: Cambium 450 platform; managed by cnMaestro, HTTP/HTTPS, Telnet, FTP or SNMPv2c/v3, with GPS sync from the access point or cnPulse in PTP mode.
  • Important to know: this is a radio only with no built-in antenna; an external 5 GHz antenna is required.

Why teams choose it

Built for reliable networks

  • Antenna choice

connectorized design pairs with an external 5 GHz antenna.

  • High capacity

up to 300 Mbps aggregate throughput in a 40 MHz channel.

  • Two roles

runs as a PMP subscriber module or as a point-to-point backhaul radio.

  • Sealed housing

    IP67 rated, with operation from -40 to 60 °C.
