What it is and who it is for

The Cambium Networks SFP-XGS-CP-0A is an XGS-PON OLT transceiver in SFP+ form factor, Class N2, for the PON ports of the Cambium Fiber OLT. It sets a PON port to XGS-PON operation for Cambium XGS-PON ONTs and pluggable ONUs.

The Cambium Fiber OLT, in 8-port and 16-port models, uses SFP+ PON ports, each accepting a GPON, XGS-PON or Combo PON transceiver. With XGS-PON, the OLT runs at 10 Gbps symmetric (9953 Mbps) per PON, with splits up to 1:128, upgradable to 1:256 by firmware, and AES-128 encryption in both directions.

  • Best for: fiber providers delivering symmetric 10G XGS-PON service on the Cambium Fiber OLT.
  • System fit: Cambium Fiber OLT PON ports (8-port and 16-port models), managed through cnMaestro.
  • Important to know: install it in a Cambium Fiber OLT PON port; the OLT supports Cambium certified PON transceivers.
