D-Link DCS-6315 1MP Outdoor Dome IP Security Camera PoE WDR Night Vision

The D-Link DCS-6315 is a professional-grade HD outdoor fixed dome network camera designed for enterprise video surveillance deployments of all scales. At its core is a 1/3-inch 1-megapixel WDR progressive scan CMOS sensor paired with a varifocal 2.8–12 mm F1.4 lens, delivering up to 1280×720 resolution with true Wide Dynamic Range image processing for clear, usable footage across high-contrast lighting environments. Infrared-cut removable filter technology enables high-quality colour night vision out to 15 metres, while the vandal-proof, outdoor-rated dome enclosure ensures durability in demanding field conditions. Power over Ethernet simplifies installation by eliminating the need for a separate power run, and ONVIF compliance ensures interoperability within broader IP surveillance ecosystems. Onboard MicroSD/SDHC edge storage, NAS recording, two-way audio, and DI/DO connectivity round out a feature set that removes the dependency on additional accessories for a fully functional deployment.

Key features & benefits

• 1/3" WDR Progressive Scan CMOS Sensor — Delivers 1-megapixel high-definition imagery with onboard Wide Dynamic Range processing, maintaining detail in scenes that combine bright highlights and deep shadows—a common challenge in enterprise entrances, lobbies, and perimeter zones.
• Varifocal 2.8–12 mm F1.4 Lens with 4× Optical Zoom — The motorised varifocal lens provides 4× optical zoom and flexible field-of-view adjustment during installation, reducing the need to stock multiple fixed-focal-length cameras across a site.
• High-Quality Colour Night Vision to 15 m — An infrared-cut removable (ICR) filter enables automatic day/night switching, preserving full-colour fidelity in low-light conditions and extending usable infrared night vision range to 15 metres.
• Vandal-Proof Outdoor Fixed Dome — The rugged all-in-one dome enclosure is rated for outdoor use and built to resist tampering, making it well-suited for exposed mounting positions on building exteriors, parking structures, and public-facing areas.
• Wired PoE Connectivity — IEEE 802.3af-compatible Power over Ethernet consolidates data and power onto a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable run, simplifying infrastructure requirements and reducing installation labour costs.
• ONVIF Compliance — Certified ONVIF compliance guarantees interoperability with third-party video management systems, NVRs, and access-control platforms, protecting existing infrastructure investments.
• Flexible Recording Options — Simultaneous support for NAS recording and onboard MicroSD/SDHC storage up to 64 GB provides redundant capture paths, while event-triggered recording and email notification enable efficient storage utilisation and rapid incident response.
• Two-Way Audio with External I/O — Dedicated external microphone input, speaker output, and a 1-in/1-out digital I/O interface allow integration with intercoms, alarms, or access-control hardware without additional audio devices.
• Multi-Format, Multi-Stream Video — Simultaneous H.264, MPEG-4, and MJPEG streams—including a dedicated mobile stream—give operators the flexibility to balance bandwidth, storage, and playback compatibility across diverse client devices and network conditions.
• Advanced Video Analytics — Built-in motion detection, 3-zone privacy masking, 10× digital zoom, and LowLight+ processing provide essential on-camera intelligence that reduces server-side processing load and supports compliance with privacy regulations.
