Overview

What it is and who it is for

The DMP 1183-135R is a ceiling-mount wireless heat detector for DMP 1100 Series systems. It sends an alarm to the panel when the temperature exceeds 135 °F, or when it rises at least 15 °F per minute.

Two-way communication prevents repetitive signaling to extend battery life, and a survey LED confirms communication with the panel. The detector measures 5.8 x 2.2 in, runs on a 3 V lithium battery and transmits in the 905 to 924 MHz band. DMP states it meets ANSI/UL 521 for heat detectors for fire protective signaling systems.

  • Best for: adding wireless heat detection to DMP systems where a fixed temperature and rate-of-rise detector is specified.
  • System fit: DMP XTL, XT, XR and XF6 Series panels through 1100 Series wireless receivers.
  • Important to know: installation and programming must be done by a qualified fire alarm technician in line with local code and the panel manufacturer's instructions.
