Overview

What it is and who it is for

The DMP 710 is a bus splitter/repeater module that adds up to three more 12 VDC LX-Bus or Keypad Bus circuits to a DMP XT Series, XR Series or XF6 Series panel. Each branch can run up to 2,500 ft, and the total of all circuits can reach 15,000 ft.

The module operates on 8.0 to 14.5 VDC and draws 32 mA. It accepts 12 to 22 AWG wire, with 18 to 22 AWG for direct keypad bus connections, and supports up to 40 devices per 2,500 ft run with a maximum voltage drop of 2.0 VDC. All circuits are Class 2, supervised and inherently power limited. The high-impact plastic housing measures 4.5 x 2.75 x 1.75 in and mounts on a wall, a single-gang box or ring, or in a DMP enclosure on the standard 3-hole pattern. It carries CSFM and FDNY approvals and UL listings including UL 864.

  • System fit: DMP XT Series, XR Series and XF6 Series panels; LX-Bus and Keypad Bus devices.
  • Important to know: keep at least 11.8 VDC at each device with 13.8 VDC at the panel; installation should be done by a qualified alarm technician.
