What it is and who it is for

The DMP 712-8 is an eight-zone expansion module for DMP XT Series and XR Series control panels. It connects directly to the Keypad Bus, or to the LX-Bus with a dual-ended 4-wire harness, and provides eight grounded burglary zones with 1k ohm end-of-line resistors.

The module operates on 8.0 to 14.5 VDC, drawing 17 mA plus 1.6 mA per active zone normally and 17 mA plus 2.0 mA per active zone in alarm. A jumper selects LX-Bus or Keypad Bus, slide switches set the address, and a data LED flashes on each panel poll. It mounts on the standard 3-hole pattern in a DMP enclosure, measures 4.50 x 2.50 in and weighs 8.0 oz. The 712-8 is for burglary use only, and DMP allows a maximum of two 712-8 modules per LX-Bus.
