Overview

What it is and who it is for

The DSC 3G2080E-LAT is an HSPA (3G) cellular alarm communicator for DSC PowerSeries Neo control panels. The E model provides expanded user support with PowerSeries Neo panels version 1.2 and higher, and the communicator reports alarm events to Sur-Gard System I-IP, II, III, IV and 5 receivers as a primary or backup path.

Signals use 128-bit AES encryption, event reporting covers SIA and Contact ID, and supervision heartbeats run over cellular. DSC also lists panel remote upload and download, SMS command and control, visual verification (SG-System 5 required) and signal strength and trouble display. The datasheet gives a 90 mA current rating, 310 g weight with the included bracket and a 5 to 40 C operating range.

The communicator can be installed in a separate cabinet with the PCL-422 remote mounting module, and DSC lists GS-15ANTQ, GS-25ANTQ and GS-50ANTQ antenna extension kits.
