What it is and who it is for

The DSC HSM2300 is a supervised power supply module for PowerSeries Neo HS2016, HS2032, HS2064 and HS2128 control panels. It connects to the panel over the 4-wire Corbus and supplies extra 12 VDC power for Corbus modules and 12 VDC sensors, with up to 4 modules per system.

The AUX output delivers 10.8 to 12.5 VDC at up to 1 A, with some listing configurations limited to 0.5 A in the installation guide. Power comes from a 16.5 VAC, 40 VA transformer, such as the PTD1640U, PTD1640 or FTC3716 for UL/ULC installations, and a 12 VDC rechargeable battery of 4 Ah, 7 Ah or 14 Ah (2 x 7 Ah) provides standby. The module reports AC fail, battery fail and low battery troubles to the keypad, draws 40 mA, and its 145 x 83 mm board operates from -10 to 55 C at 5 to 93 percent relative humidity, non-condensing.

DSC lists the PC500C, CMC-1, PC4050CAR, PC4050CR, Power UC1 and PC5003C enclosures for the module, with enclosure and transformer combinations that vary by listing.
