Overview

What it is and who it is for

The DSC PG4945 is a PowerG wireless door and window contact for the 433 MHz band, part of the PGx945 family with the PG8945 (868 MHz) and PG9945 (912 to 919 MHz). It combines an internal reed switch with one hardwired auxiliary input and reports to 433 MHz PowerG receivers on PowerSeries Neo systems, such as the HSM2HOST4 module or an HS2LCDRF4 keypad.

The auxiliary input can be set as disabled, single EOL with a 47 kOhm resistor (default), normally open or normally closed, takes up to 10 m of 22 AWG wire, and is enabled from the keypad. The transmitter runs on one 3 V CR123A lithium battery rated for 8 years of typical use, sends supervision every 4 minutes and reports low battery at 2.2 V. It measures 81 x 34 x 25 mm, weighs 53 g with battery, and operates from -10 to 55 C at up to 93 percent relative humidity, non-condensing, indoors.

  • System fit: 433 MHz PowerG receivers HSM2HOST4, HS2LCDRF(P)4, HS2ICNRF(P)4 and PG4920 on PowerSeries Neo systems.
  • Important to know: PG4945 is the 433 MHz CE variant; only the 912 to 919 MHz PG9945 is UL/ULC listed, and enrollment should be done by a qualified alarm technician.
