The DSC PG9862 is a PowerG wireless 360° ceiling-mount passive infrared (PIR) detector designed for small to mid-sized interior spaces. Built on DSC's industry-leading PowerG two-way wireless intrusion technology, it delivers full 360° omnidirectional motion coverage from a ceiling-mounted position with a detection diameter of up to 10 m (32.8 ft). When enrolled in a PowerSeries Pro system, the PG9862 also functions as a combined motion and temperature detector, with temperature data surfaced on the end-user app. The detector features an advanced True Motion Recognition™ algorithm to distinguish genuine intruders from environmental disturbances, front and back tamper protection, a low-profile modern form factor, and a 5-year battery life under typical use. It is compatible with PowerSeries Neo, PowerSeries Pro, and Qolsys panels.
