Overview

What it is and who it is for

The EPCOM Titanium TT683-4.0-RX is the receiver for the TT683-4.0 HDMI extender kits. It uses HDbitT technology to carry 4K video over network cable, up to 120 m (394 ft) on Cat 6 or 80 m on Cat 5, and passes IR remote control signals from the receiver back to the transmitter to control the HDMI source.

Links can run through a Gigabit switch, and switches can be cascaded, so one transmitter can feed multiple receivers. The receiver has one RJ45 link port, a 3.5 mm IR jack, a DC 2.1 power input and one HDMI output with a Type A connector, and supports HDMI 1.4, HDCP 1.3 and PCM audio. It runs on 5 V at 2 A, draws 4 W, operates from 0 to 60 C and weighs 167 g in a metal enclosure.

  • System fit: EPCOM TT683-4.0 kits over HDbitT; direct network cable run or through Gigabit switches.
  • Important to know: this is the receiver only; it needs a TT683-4.0 transmitter at the source. No PoE, RS232 or HDMI loop out.
