What it is and who it is for

The Icom F4400DT is an IDAS portable radio for professional teams on a 450 to 512 MHz UHF system. It runs analog and NXDN digital operation, holds 1,024 channels in 128 zones and transmits at up to 5 W.

A high-resolution color LCD with day and night modes and a full DTMF keypad handle icon-based menus and direct dialing. The radio is rated IP68, tested to MIL-STD-810G and includes built-in Bluetooth for hands-free headsets, a built-in GPS receiver, 4-key DES encryption as standard and Man Down, Lone Worker and motion/stationary detection.

  • Best for: public works, utilities, security and industrial teams that need a color display, location and data features on UHF.
  • System fit: UHF 450 to 512 MHz; analog, IDAS (NXDN) conventional and multi-site conventional, NXDN Type-D trunking with optional license.
