What it is and who it is for

The Icom IC-F5011 is an analog mobile radio for vehicles on a 136 to 174 MHz VHF system. It holds 8 channels and transmits at 50, 25 or 5 W.

Built-in MDC 1200 provides PTT ID and emergency signaling, alongside 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS. Four programmable buttons, a 4 W front-mounted speaker and an optional ACC cable for remote channel control and external audio support fleet installs. Icom tests it to MIL-STD-810.
