What it is and who it is for

The Icom F62D is a compact IDAS portable radio for teams on a 450 to 512 MHz UHF system. It runs analog and IDAS digital operation on 6.25 kHz very narrow channels, holds 512 channels in 128 zones and supports over-the-air programming.

A backlit 14 character dot-matrix display with status icons, built-in Bluetooth and a vibration alert keep users informed in loud areas. The radio is rated IP67, tested to MIL-STD-810G, records up to 8 minutes of voice and includes Man Down, Lone Worker and motion/stationary detection.

  • Best for: hospitality, healthcare, retail and facility staff who want a small radio with digital calling on UHF.
  • System fit: UHF 450 to 512 MHz; analog, IDAS (NXDN) conventional and multi-site conventional; NXDN Type-D trunking with optional license.
