What it is and who it is for

The Icom F62DUL is the intrinsically safe version of the compact F62D for teams on a 450 to 512 MHz UHF system. It runs analog and IDAS digital operation, holds 512 channels in 128 zones and transmits at up to 5 W.

With its intrinsically safe battery, it is certified for Class I, Division 1, Groups C and D; Class II, Division 1, Groups E, F and G; Class III, T3C, and is non-incendive for Class I, Division 2, Groups A through D. It is rated IP67, meets MIL-STD-810 C through G and includes built-in Bluetooth, a 14 character dot-matrix display, the AMBE+2 vocoder and a vibration alert.

  • Best for: oil and gas, chemical, utility and industrial crews working in classified hazardous locations on UHF.
  • System fit: UHF 450 to 512 MHz; analog and IDAS (NXDN) digital conventional systems.
