What it is and who it is for

The Edwards 3-CAB5B is the black backbox for the EST3 3-CAB5 lobby enclosure, which has a built-in rail assembly for up to five local rail modules without a chassis assembly. Back space of 1-1/2 footprints holds a power supply, a 1/2 footprint module and 10 Ah batteries.

The 3-CAB5 wallbox and non-contoured door are #16 AWG cold rolled steel, and EST3 lobby enclosure wallboxes have a black baked enamel finish. The 3-CAB5 series mounts semi-flush or surface, with knockouts for 3/4 in conduit and lag and keyway holes. The lower mounting space can take an MN-BRKT1 bracket for mass notification interface equipment, and the 3-TAMP5 tamper switch mounts to the side of the 3-CAB5.
