What it is and who it is for

The Edwards 6830-3 is a black, plug-in portable telephone handset for Edwards fire fighters' telephone systems. It connects at fire fighters' telephone wall plate receptacles such as the Edwards 6833-4.

Each wall plate is driven by one signal module from the SIGA-CC1, SIGA-CC1S, SIGA-MCC1 or SIGA-MCC1S families (or their GSA versions), with a recommended maximum of five signal modules per telephone riser. Riser wiring is twisted, shielded, jacketed pair from 14 to 22 AWG, with a maximum line impedance of 50 ohms (25 ohms per line) and a 47 kohm end of line resistor on the last unit only. The equipment is rated for 32 to 120 °F (0 to 49 °C) and 93% RH noncondensing at 90 °F (32 °C).

  • System fit: Edwards 6833-4 wall plate receptacle on a riser driven by SIGA-CC1 or SIGA-CC1S family signal modules.
