Overview

What it is and who it is for

The Edwards BPS10A is a 10 A, 24 Vdc remote booster power supply with four independent supervised notification appliance circuits. It is activated by a panel NAC or by Signature Series modules through two sense inputs, and synchronizes Genesis horns and strobes up to 10 boosters deep.

Each NAC is rated 3.0 A max at 24 Vdc nominal, with 10 A total, wired as four Class B or two Class A circuits by jumper. The NAC outputs can be set as auxiliary outputs, plus a dedicated 200 mA auxiliary output, with up to 8 A for auxiliary use; auxiliary outputs can stay on or shut off 30 seconds after AC loss. Signal rates are continuous, 3-3-3 temporal, or follow the panel NAC. Input is 120 VAC, 50/60 Hz, 375 W, and the supply is listed to UL 864 9th edition.

The cabinet holds two 10 Ah batteries; up to 24 Ah is supported in an external cabinet for fire and security (65 Ah for access control only), and it has space for three two-gang Signature modules. It is rated for 32 to 120 °F (0 to 49 °C).

  • Best for: extending NAC power for horns and strobes on Edwards Signature or panel NAC systems.
  • System fit: Edwards panel NACs or Signature Series modules (such as CC1(S), CT1); Genesis sync up to 10 boosters deep.
  • Important to know: installation and programming must be done by a qualified fire alarm technician per local code; size batteries for the required standby and alarm time.
