What it is and who it is for

The Edwards SIGA-278 is a Signature Series intelligent manual pull station, double action and one stage, with English markings. It has a red Lexan housing with white markings and a keyed reset mechanism.

The station uses one module address and draws 250 µA standby and 400 µA when activated on 15.2 to 19.95 VDC. It is addressed electronically by the Signature loop controller with no switches or dials, permanently stores its address, serial number, device type and job number, maps its wiring location automatically and can still register an alarm if the loop controller stops polling. It mounts to a North American 2-1/2 in deep 1-gang box, or the 276B-RSB red surface box, and accepts #12 to #18 AWG wire. Edwards lists it UL, ULC, MEA, CSFM and FM.
