Overview

What it is and who it is for

The Edwards SIGA-OSHD is a Signature Optica Series intelligent multisensor detector that combines optical smoke sensing with a fixed temperature and rate-of-rise heat element. It works only with control panels that use a Signature loop controller.

Smoke sensitivity is 0.5 to 4.36 %/ft (1.6 to 13.6 %/m) obscuration. The heat element is rated 135°F (57.2°C), with an actual alarm point of 129 to 141°F (53.9 to 60.6°C), and a 15°F per minute rate-of-rise rating, with heat detector spacing up to 50 ft (15.2 m) centers. It draws 32 µA in normal operation and 45 µA in alarm on 15.20 to 19.95 VDC and is rated for 32 to 100°F (0 to 38°C).

It installs on Signature standard, relay, isolator and audible bases, which fit North American one-gang, octagon and 4 in square boxes and European BESA or one-gang boxes with 60.3 mm fixing centers.

  • System fit: control panels with an Edwards Signature Loop Controller; mounts on SIGA-SB, SB4, RB, RB4, IB, IB4, AB4G-LF and AB4GT bases.
