The MikroTik netFiber 9 (CRS310-1G-5S-4S+OUT) is a purpose-built outdoor fiber aggregation switch designed for demanding deployments where copper cabling is impractical or insufficient. Powered by an ARM 32-bit CPU running at 800 MHz with 256 MB of RAM, and driven by a Marvell 98DX226S switch chip, the unit delivers nine active switching ports: one full-speed 10/100/1000 Ethernet port with direct switch-chip connectivity, five SFP ports, and four SFP+ ports capable of 10 Gbps throughput. The Gigabit Ethernet port accepts passive PoE-in (802.3af/at, 18–57 V) as well as a dedicated DC jack input, giving installers flexible powering options in locations where running a separate power cable is difficult. An IP54-rated enclosure with passive cooling via a large rear heatsink makes the unit suitable for pole, wall, or mast mounting under light outdoor coverage such as a roof overhang or equipment cabinet. Included metal hose clamps and mounting hardware mean the unit can be deployed immediately upon receipt. The device runs MikroTik RouterOS (License Level 5), supports an RJ45 serial console port, and carries CE, EAC, and RoHS certifications.
