The MikroTik netPower 15FR (CRS318-1Fi-15Fr-2S-OUT) is a purpose-built outdoor Ethernet switch designed to eliminate the need for costly GPON base stations and optical splitters in multi-dwelling and ISP last-mile deployments. Built around MikroTik's GPEN concept, it bridges the performance and reach of fiber networking with the simplicity and cost-efficiency of Ethernet infrastructure. The unit features 15 reverse PoE Ethernet ports, two SFP fiber uplink ports, and a ruggedized outdoor enclosure rated for operation from -40°C to 70°C, making it equally at home in damp attics, elevator shafts, or pole-mounted installations secured with hose clamps. Powered by an ARM 32-bit processor running at 800 MHz with 256 MB of RAM, it delivers a non-blocking throughput of 3.6 Gbps, a switching capacity of 7.2 Gbps, and a forwarding rate of 5.4 Mpps. The dual-boot SwOS and RouterOS operating environment gives network administrators the flexibility to manage the device with either a streamlined switch interface or a full-featured routing OS. Note that the power supply is not included and must be purchased separately.
