Overview

What it is and who it is for

The MikroTik CSS606-1G-2Gi-3S+OUT, named GPERx6 by MikroTik, is a rugged IP66 outdoor switch that takes power and fiber together over one hybrid cable and splits them at the far end into SFP+ uplinks, PoE output for devices such as cameras or access points, and DC output for IoT or special equipment. MikroTik names perimeter surveillance, remote CCTV towers, IoT and solar powered edge sites as uses, over distances of 1 to 2 km. It runs SwOS.

The switch has three Gigabit Ethernet ports (one with PoE in, two with PoE out) and three 10G SFP+ ports. It accepts 802.3bt PoE in at 42 to 57 V or a DC jack at 12 to 57 V. Ports 2 and 3 deliver passive PoE up to 57 V, limited to 1.2 A per port at low voltage or 0.625 A per port at high voltage, with a 150 W total output. The unit draws 6 W on its own, uses passive cooling and is tested for -40 to 70 °C ambient.

In MikroTik RFC 2544 tests the 88E6193X switch chip reaches 66 Gbps Layer 1 switching capacity. A K-93 kit and hose clamps are included.
