Powered by a 600 MHz AR9344 MIPS processor with 64 MB of RAM and 16 MB of FLASH storage, the board integrates a single-chain 5 GHz 802.11a/n wireless radio capable of up to 150 Mbit/s, making it well suited for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint last-mile wireless links. The US version is factory-locked to 5170–5250 MHz and 5725–5835 MHz frequency ranges in compliance with FCC regulations; this lock is permanent and cannot be removed. A single 10/100 Ethernet port with passive PoE input (8–30 V) allows straightforward single-cable installation in outdoor enclosures or third-party housings. The unit runs MikroTik RouterOS License Level 3, providing a capable routing and wireless management feature set. Passive cooling and an operating temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C support deployment in demanding environmental conditions.
