What it is and who it is for

The Nomadix 969-6000-050 is an EG 6000 Edge Gateway bundle sized for 50 doors, running the Nomadix Service Engine (NSE) software with a 1-year license including support and maintenance. The EG 6000 is a Nomadix access gateway for guest and resident Internet access, handling subscriber authentication, bandwidth control and network management between the Internet connection and the property network.

Nomadix rates the EG 6000 platform for 500 to 5,000 devices and 500 Mbps to 5 Gbps of bandwidth depending on license; this bundle is listed for up to 3 Gb. The gateway has four 2.5 Gbps RJ45 ports that can each be set as WAN or LAN, a USB console port and a PMS port for property management system integration with an optional software module. It mounts in a 19 inch rack (1U) with the included bracket kit or sits on a desk with the included bumper kit.

Activation is online: once the WAN is configured and the end user license agreement is accepted, the gateway retrieves its license key from the Nomadix license server, and the subscription term starts on that date.

  • Best for: properties of about 50 doors, such as multi-dwelling and hospitality sites, that need a managed Internet access gateway.
  • System fit: Nomadix Service Engine (NSE) software, the same feature set across Nomadix gateways; managed by web interface and Nomadix Cloud Management.
  • Important to know: the NSE license, support and maintenance run for 1 year from activation and then need renewal; the console cable and PMS serial kit are separate parts.
