What it is and who it is for

The PCTEL MFB-1503 is a J-type fiberglass base antenna for VHF 150 to 156 MHz with 3 dB of gain, 3.5 MHz of bandwidth and a 250 W power rating. It is factory tuned at 150 MHz and can be adjusted in the field.

The 3.2 m antenna has a UV-resistant white fiberglass radome, needs no ground radials, is rated for 100 mph winds and ships with a 16 inch cable with an N male connector. PCTEL suggests the MMK3 or MMK4 mounts.

  • Best for: VHF base stations and fixed control points on 150 to 156 MHz.
  • Fits: VHF base installations via the included 16 inch N male cable; suggested mounts MMK3 and MMK4 (sold separately).
  • Important to know: it covers 150 to 156 MHz and is factory tuned at 150 MHz.
