What it is and who it is for

The Seco-Larm SM-206Q/BR is a 1/4 in concealed-mount magnetic contact for closed loop alarm circuits. Seco-Larm designs it for protecting sliding doors and windows where space is limited, with a 1 in (25 mm) operating gap.

The switch and magnet press-fit into a 1/4 in (6 mm) hole, and a glue and epoxy compound protects the reed switch. The contact comes pre-wired with 15 in (38 cm) 22 AWG leads and is rated 1.0 A at 10 VDC max and 10 W max, with 50 million switch cycles and an operating range of -15 to 160 F (-25 to 70 C).
