About DSC

An installed base across millions of residential and commercial sites.

DSC (Digital Security Controls) is part of the Johnson Controls security portfolio and one of the most widely deployed intrusion alarm platforms in North America, with an installed base spanning millions of residential homes, small businesses, and commercial buildings. The current portfolio centers on the PowerSeries Neo line of alarm control panels (HS2032 for 32 zones, HS2064 for 64 zones, HS2128 for 128 zones) and the newer PowerSeries Pro panels (HS3032, HS3128) for commercial installations. The PowerG 2-way encrypted wireless protocol is a key differentiator, providing AES-128 encryption, long range, and battery-powered sensors that report status to the panel reliably across large premises.

EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested DSC SKUs in our Doral, FL warehouse: PowerSeries Neo control panels (HS2032, HS2064, HS2128), PowerSeries Pro control panels (HS3032, HS3128), LCD keypads (HS2LCD, HS2LCDRF, HS2ICN), motion detectors (PG9914 wireless PIR, LC-100PI wired, BV-501 wired), PowerG glass-break detectors, door and window contacts (wired and PowerG wireless), expansion modules, cellular communicators (LTE for AT&T and Verizon central station reporting), and replacement batteries. Legacy PC1832 and PC1864 panel replacement parts are also kept in stock.

The DSC lineup is the practical choice for licensed alarm dealers servicing residential and small commercial accounts on PowerSeries Neo, security integrators handling mid-size commercial intrusion deployments with PowerSeries Pro, central station monitoring services specifying DSC as their preferred panel platform for cellular reporting reliability, and security technicians maintaining the large installed base of legacy PowerSeries (PC1832, PC1864, PC9155) systems still in service. Note that intrusion alarm system installation typically requires a licensed low-voltage or alarm contractor under state regulations.

Product lines we stock

Our active DSC catalog sorts into five practical categories. PowerSeries Neo panels HS2032, HS2064, HS2128 for residential and small commercial installations with up to 128 zones. PowerSeries Pro panels HS3032 and HS3128 for commercial intrusion with advanced features and higher zone counts. Keypads HS2LCD (LCD with 32-character display), HS2LCDRF (LCD with built-in PowerG wireless receiver), HS2ICN (icon-based), HS2LED (LED). Detection devices wired motion (LC-100PI, BV-501), PowerG wireless motion (PG9914), wired and wireless glass-break detectors, door and window contacts in dozens of form factors. Communications and expansion LTE cellular communicators for central station reporting, IP communicators, zone expanders, output modules, and replacement batteries.

Frequently asked

DSC questions, intrusion alarm answers.

Specific to licensed alarm dealers, security integrators, central station monitoring services, and security technicians maintaining or installing residential and commercial intrusion alarm systems.

Do you stock DSC in Miami?

Yes. We stock PowerSeries Neo panels (HS2032, HS2064, HS2128), PowerSeries Pro panels (HS3032, HS3128), HS2LCD / HS2LCDRF / HS2ICN keypads, motion detectors (PG9914 wireless, LC-100PI wired, BV-501), PowerG glass-break detectors, door and window contacts, cellular and IP communicators, expansion modules, and batteries. Most in-stock orders ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET.

PowerSeries Neo or PowerSeries Pro: which should I install?

PowerSeries Neo is the broad workhorse: residential single-family homes, small businesses, retail, and small commercial up to 128 zones. PowerSeries Pro is the upgraded line for mid-size commercial and small enterprise: higher capacity, more advanced reporting and integration, larger zone counts (HS3128 supports up to 248 zones with expanders), and additional features for partitioning and access control integration. For most residential and SMB jobs, Neo is the right choice on cost. For commercial jobs with complex zoning, multi-tenant, or integration to access control, Pro is worth the upgrade.

What is PowerG and why does it matter?

PowerG is DSC's 2-way wireless protocol with AES-128 encryption, frequency hopping for interference resilience, and significantly longer range than older 1-way wireless protocols. Practical benefits: PowerG devices can report status reliably across large commercial buildings (typical range 2,000+ feet line of sight), the encryption prevents replay attacks and jamming, battery life is typically 5-8 years on standard alkaline, and the 2-way confirmation means the panel knows for certain whether each device received a command. For commercial installs and high-security residential, PowerG is the recommended wireless choice.

Do I need a licensed alarm contractor to install DSC panels?

Yes in most US states. Intrusion alarm system installation and connection to central station monitoring typically requires a licensed low-voltage or alarm contractor under state regulations (specific licensing varies by state, with Florida, Texas, California, and most others requiring specific alarm or low-voltage licensing). We sell DSC products freely to licensed contractors. For DIY residential installs not connected to central station, some states allow homeowner installation but resale restrictions vary. If you're unsure about your state's requirements, we can advise.

Can you cross-reference legacy DSC part numbers?

Yes. DSC has had multiple generations of panels (PC1500, PC1550, PC1832, PC1864, PC9155, HS2032, HS2064, HS2128, HS3032, HS3128) over decades. If you have an older panel still in service and need replacement keypads, contacts, motion detectors, or modules, send us the panel model and current installed components and we identify compatible current production parts. For end-of-life panels where parts are no longer manufactured, we recommend migration paths to current PowerSeries Neo or Pro.

What is the DSC RMA process at EhubAmerica?

Send the unit with a brief problem description and the original order or invoice reference. We issue replacement within 48 hours of receipt for units under warranty. DSC standard warranty is typically 18 months on most panels and devices, longer on PowerG sensors. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not damage from incorrect wiring, lightning, power surges, or improperly weatherproofed installations of outdoor-rated devices.
