About Fiberhome

FTTH at ISP scale with both GPON and EPON.

Fiberhome is a Chinese fiber networking manufacturer with one of the broader passive optical network portfolios in the market, supporting both GPON (the ITU-T standard widely deployed by global telecom carriers) and EPON (the IEEE standard more common in Asian and emerging-market ISPs). The portfolio spans OLT (Optical Line Terminal) chassis sized from small to large port counts for ISP head-end deployments, the ONU and ONT customer-premise units that terminate fiber at the subscriber location, fiber switches for aggregation, SFP and XFP optical modules across common wavelength and reach combinations, and the EMS (Element Management System) software that monitors and provisions the network.

EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested Fiberhome SKUs in our Doral, FL warehouse: AN5516-04 and AN5516-06 OLT chassis for small-to-medium ISP deployments, ONU / ONT terminals in single-FE, GE, and WiFi-integrated variants, fiber switches for aggregation, and SFP modules in common reach configurations (BX 20km, 40km, 80km bidirectional optics for GPON / EPON, plus standard 1G and 10G transceiver options). Larger OLT chassis and project-quantity orders are quoted from Fiberhome distribution with typical 2-4 week lead times.

The Fiberhome lineup is the practical choice for ISPs deploying FTTH to residential subscribers where GPON is the dominant standard and per-subscriber cost matters, ISPs in markets where EPON is preferred (often for legacy reasons or operator preference), MDU (Multi-Dwelling Unit) deployments where one OLT serves dozens to hundreds of subscriber units in apartment buildings, and ISP operators consolidating fiber sourcing under one vendor for OLT plus ONU plus optics plus EMS.

Product lines we stock

Our active Fiberhome catalog sorts into four practical categories. OLT chassis AN5516-04 and AN5516-06 for small-to-medium ISP deployments, with larger chassis quoted from distribution. ONU and ONT subscriber-side terminals in single-FE, GE, and WiFi-integrated variants for residential and SMB FTTH. Fiber switches for aggregation and backhaul. Optical modules SFP and XFP transceivers including GPON / EPON BX 20km, 40km, 80km bidirectional optics and standard 1G / 10G transceivers.

Why EhubAmerica

Frequently asked

Fiberhome questions, FTTH answers.

Specific to ISPs deploying FTTH and FTTB, MDU operators, and fiber integrators sourcing GPON / EPON OLT chassis, ONU / ONT subscriber units, and SFP optics.

Do you stock Fiberhome in Miami?

Yes. We stock AN5516-04 and AN5516-06 OLT chassis, ONU / ONT terminals in single-FE / GE / WiFi-integrated variants, fiber switches, and SFP optical modules (BX 20km / 40km / 80km bidirectional optics, standard 1G / 10G transceivers). Most in-stock orders ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET. Larger OLT chassis and project-quantity orders quoted from distribution with 2-4 week lead times.

GPON or EPON: which standard should I deploy?

GPON (ITU-T G.984) is the dominant global telecom standard for FTTH, with broader vendor interoperability and wider deployment in North America and Europe. EPON (IEEE 802.3ah) is more common in Asian markets and some emerging markets, simpler protocol stack, and often lower per-port cost. For new North American ISP FTTH deployments, GPON is typically the right choice unless you have specific reasons (existing EPON installed base, operator preference, vendor familiarity). For greenfield deployments where vendor flexibility matters, GPON.

How do I size the OLT chassis for my ISP subscriber count?

OLT chassis sizing depends on subscriber count per PON port and total subscribers. Each GPON port typically supports up to 64 or 128 subscribers in a split tree (with appropriate optical splitter). Calculate: total subscribers divided by subscribers-per-PON-port equals PON ports required, then size the chassis to that PON port count plus headroom for growth (typically 30-50 percent). Tell us your target subscriber count over 3-5 years and we recommend the right chassis.

Can you pre-provision ONUs for our ISP subscribers?

Yes for the more common deployment patterns. ONU pre-provisioning typically includes setting the OLT-side service profile mapping, VLAN tagging, bandwidth limits per subscriber tier, and any per-subscriber Wi-Fi SSID and password. Send us your service tier specifications and per-subscriber spreadsheet (MAC address to service profile) and we ship pre-provisioned ONUs ready for the technician to plug in at the subscriber site.

What is the maximum fiber distance from OLT to subscriber?

Standard GPON reach is 20km with BX 20km optics, extending to 40km or 60km with appropriate BX 40km or BX 80km optics and lower split ratios (because optical power budget is shared between distance and split count). For typical FTTH deployments, 20km reach with 1:32 or 1:64 split is sufficient for most urban and suburban scenarios. For rural deployments crossing longer distances, 40km optics with reduced split count extend reach but reduce subscribers per PON port. We help you balance reach and split ratio for your topology.

What is the Fiberhome RMA process at EhubAmerica?

Send the unit with a brief problem description and the original order or invoice reference. We issue replacement within 48 hours of receipt for units under warranty. Fiberhome manufacturer warranty terms vary by SKU but are typically 1-2 years on most ONU / ONT and 2-3 years on OLT chassis. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not damage from lightning, power surges, fiber connector mishandling, or end-user mis-flashing.
