About Seco-Larm
The hardware that finishes most low-voltage security installs.
Seco-Larm is a US security hardware brand best known for the Enforcer product family: the electric strikes, magnetic locks (mag locks), exit buttons, request-to-exit (REX) devices, and standalone access control keypads that make up the door hardware on most access control installs. The portfolio extends to video accessories (BNC connectors, video baluns for sending analog video over Cat 5/6, video distribution amplifiers, video matrix switchers), motion detectors and door / window contacts, DC power supplies sized for access control and small security camera deployments, and surge protection for low-voltage runs.
EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested Seco-Larm SKUs in our Doral, FL warehouse: SD-995 series fail-safe and fail-secure electric strikes, E-941SA mag locks across the standard pull-force ratings (600 lb, 1200 lb), SD-7204 series exit buttons and REX devices, SK-1011 standalone access control keypads, BNC connectors and pre-made video patch cables, EB-P video baluns for analog over Cat 5, DC power supplies in common voltages (12V and 24V) and amperage ratings (1A, 3A, 5A) for cameras and access control panels, and PIR motion detectors. We can quote bundled kits for typical access control installs (strike plus exit button plus REX plus power plus keypad) at consolidated pricing.
The Seco-Larm lineup is the practical choice for low-voltage integrators handling access control retrofits and new installs, security camera integrators sourcing analog video accessories (BNC, baluns, distribution amps) for retrofit deployments where existing coax or Cat 5 is being reused, electricians and locksmiths installing electric strikes and mag locks for commercial door automation, and general contractors managing security and access for small-to-medium commercial buildings where Seco-Larm hardware matches the project budget and integrator familiarity.

Specific to low-voltage integrators, security camera integrators handling retrofit analog deployments, electricians and locksmiths installing access control, and general contractors specifying door hardware for commercial builds.
Do you stock Seco-Larm in Miami?
Yes. We stock SD-995 electric strikes (fail-safe and fail-secure), E-941SA / E-942SA mag locks in 600 lb and 1200 lb ratings, SD-7204 exit buttons and REX devices, SK-1011 standalone keypads, BNC connectors and baluns, video distribution amplifiers, DC power supplies (12V and 24V at 1A through 5A), and motion detectors. Most in-stock orders ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET.
Electric strike or magnetic lock: which is right for the door?
Match to door type and fire code. Electric strikes (like SD-995) replace the existing door strike plate and work with most commercial wooden, metal, and aluminum-glass doors. They are fail-safe (unlocks on power loss, used for egress doors) or fail-secure (stays locked on power loss, used for secure entry). Mag locks (like E-941SA) are surface-mounted to the door frame and door, are always fail-safe by design (release on power loss), and are typically used for glass doors, high-traffic main entries, and doors where strike replacement is difficult. Fire code in most US jurisdictions requires mag locks to be wired into the fire alarm so they release during fire alarm activation.
What is a REX device and why do I need one?
REX (Request-to-Exit) devices detect a person approaching the door from the secure side and automatically signal the access control system to release the lock for egress, without requiring a button press. SD-7204 and similar PIR-based REX devices mount above the door interior and use motion sensing. REX is required by most US fire codes for any door that is electronically locked on the egress path, to ensure occupants can exit without fumbling for credentials in an emergency. Pair every electric strike or mag lock with either a REX or an exit button (or both).
Can you size a power supply for my access control install?
Yes. Total the load: mag lock (typically 0.5A at 12V for 600 lb, 1A for 1200 lb), electric strike (typically 0.5A at 12V), REX sensor (0.05A), exit button (negligible), keypad (0.1A), and any access panel (varies). Add 20-30 percent headroom. Most single-door installs run comfortably on a 12V 3A or 12V 5A linear power supply. For multi-door installs sharing one supply, scale accordingly. Send us the door count and hardware list and we recommend the right power supply size.
Do EB-P baluns work for HD analog cameras (HD-TVI, HD-CVI, AHD)?
Yes for most current HD analog formats. The EB-P passive video baluns transmit composite analog video and HD-TVI / HD-CVI / AHD signals over Cat 5 / Cat 6 cable at distances typical for retrofit camera deployments (300 ft to over 1000 ft depending on resolution and signal type). For 4MP and 8MP HD analog signals, use the higher-grade balun variants. Tell us the camera resolution, signal type, and cable run distance and we recommend the right balun pair.
What is the Seco-Larm RMA process at EhubAmerica?
Send the unit with a brief problem description and the original order or invoice reference. We issue replacement within 48 hours of receipt for units under warranty. Seco-Larm Enforcer warranty is typically 1 year on most SKUs and longer on selected premium products. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not damage from incorrect wiring, power surges, water ingress on indoor-rated devices, or impact damage during installation.
