About Maxrad

LMR-specific antenna engineering.

Maxrad is a long-established US antenna brand specializing in Land Mobile Radio (LMR) applications. Now part of the PCTEL antenna portfolio, Maxrad continues to ship under its own brand for the mobile, base station, and infrastructure antennas that have anchored commercial fleet and public safety deployments for decades. The portfolio covers VHF, UHF, and 700 / 800 MHz public safety bands across NMO mobile, low-profile, dome, and base station form factors.

EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested Maxrad SKUs in our Doral, FL warehouse: NMO mobile antennas across VHF, UHF, and 700 / 800 MHz bands, low-profile and dome antennas for vehicle installs where standard whip antennas don't fit, base station antennas for commercial sites, and the matching mounts, cable assemblies, and lightning protection components that complete most installs.

The Maxrad lineup is the practical choice for commercial fleet operators upgrading or maintaining mobile antenna inventory, public safety vehicle installers needing 700 / 800 MHz coverage with specific gain patterns, security companies running multi-band fleet operations, and base station deployments where antenna lifetime and lead-time predictability matter more than the cheapest unit cost.

Product lines we stock

Our active Maxrad catalog sorts into three practical categories. Mobile NMO antennas across VHF (136-174 MHz), UHF (380-512 MHz), and 700 / 800 MHz public safety bands for vehicle installations. Low-profile and dome antennas for vehicle installs where whip antennas don't fit (low clearance, aesthetic, covert deployments). Base station antennas for fixed-site commercial and public safety infrastructure deployments.

Cut and tuned

We can cut antennas to length and verify SWR for the operating frequency before shipping, if the deployment frequency is known at order time.

Supported

Engineering desk for antenna selection by band, gain pattern, mount type, and vehicle compatibility. Particularly helpful on 700/800 MHz public safety installs.

Backed

48-hour RMA replacement window on warrantied units. Maxrad and PCTEL manufacturer warranty honored through us.

Frequently asked

Maxrad questions, install answers.

Specific to fleet operators, public safety vehicle installers, security companies, and commercial integrators sourcing LMR antennas. For specific band, vehicle, or quoting questions, send us the use case.

Do you stock Maxrad antennas in Miami?

Yes. We stock NMO mobile antennas across VHF, UHF, and 700 / 800 MHz, low-profile and dome antennas, base station antennas, and the mounts and cable assemblies that pair with them. Most in-stock orders ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET.

Is Maxrad the same as PCTEL?

Maxrad is part of the PCTEL antenna portfolio, but the brand and product lines continue to ship as Maxrad-branded SKUs in many cases. Some legacy Maxrad SKUs have been renamed to PCTEL part numbers, and some continue under the Maxrad name. We can cross-reference part numbers and confirm current availability at quote time.

Which Maxrad antenna fits 700 or 800 MHz public safety bands?

Maxrad makes specific antennas for the 700 / 800 MHz public safety bands used by P25 fleets and many state and local agencies. The mobile NMO models for these bands have a different element design than VHF or UHF antennas. Send us the radio model and the exact frequency or band plan and we recommend the correct SKU with the right gain pattern for the install scenario.

What is a low-profile antenna and when do I need one?

Low-profile antennas are short-stature mobile antennas (1-3 inches tall) designed for vehicles with low clearance (parking garages, drive-throughs), covert deployments where a tall whip is undesirable, or fleet installs where aesthetics or theft prevention matter. Performance is typically lower gain than a standard half-wave whip, so they're best for short-range deployments or supplemental coverage. Dome antennas similarly trade height for stealth.

Do you sell mounts and cables separately?

Yes. NMO mounts (roof drilled, trunk lip, magnetic), cable assemblies (RG-58, LMR-195, LMR-240, LMR-400 in various lengths), and connectors (PL-259, BNC, mini-UHF, TNC) are stocked separately. We can quote complete kits (antenna plus mount plus cable plus connector) for fleet rollouts at bundled pricing.

What is the Maxrad RMA process at EhubAmerica?

Send the antenna or component with a brief problem description and the original order or invoice reference. We issue replacement within 48 hours of receipt for units under warranty. RMA forms and prepaid shipping labels are provided after a quick email exchange. Warranty covers manufacturing defects, not damage from incorrect installation, over-tightened connectors, or impact damage to whip elements.
