Which CCR fits my ISP scale?
Match CPU and forwarding capacity to your peak traffic and routing complexity. CCR1009 handles 1-2 Gbps with moderate BGP / OSPF complexity. CCR2004 doubles capacity and adds 10G ports. CCR2116 and CCR2216 are for larger ISPs running full BGP tables, multi-Gbps customer traffic, and complex policy. Tell us your customer count, peak traffic, route table size, and whether you run BGP / MPLS / VPLS and we recommend the right CCR. For sub-1Gbps deployments, an RB5009 or RB1100AHx4 often does the job at a fraction of CCR cost.
Can you pre-configure MikroTik for ISP CPE deployments?
Yes. For ISP rollouts where each CPE needs the same baseline config (PPPoE credentials per subscriber, hotspot setup, queue tree, firewall rules, management VPN, NTP, syslog), we can pre-load your RouterOS template and provision per-unit variables before shipping. Send us the .rsc export of your golden config and the subscriber spreadsheet (MAC to credentials) and we ship CPEs ready to plug in. Pre-config service typically adds 24-48 hours to lead time.
RouterOS 6 versus RouterOS 7: which should I use?
RouterOS 7 is the current line and is now the default on new MikroTik hardware (ROS 7 is stable since 2022 and continues active development). RouterOS 6 remains supported in long-term release stream but new features land in v7. For new deployments, RouterOS 7 is the right choice. For existing networks running RouterOS 6 in production, plan a migration when you have time to test config conversion (most syntax is compatible but some changes exist, particularly around bridge VLAN handling and queue trees).
Why are there two MikroTik entries in your catalog (Mikrotik and MikroTik)?
Legacy data inconsistency in our Shopify vendor field: some older SKUs were entered as 'Mikrotik' (lowercase k) and others as 'MikroTik' (capital T). Both refer to the same manufacturer, and we're consolidating to the official MikroTik branding. If you search either spelling you'll find the products; if you're missing a SKU you expect to see, ask us and we cross-reference manually.
