About TYT
DMR feature density at a value price point.
TYT (Tytera) has built a reputation as one of the most cost-effective DMR manufacturers in the market, delivering Tier II digital portables with feature sets that compete with premium brands at a fraction of the price. Their MD-series portables anchor most TYT deployments: the MD-380 (UHF DMR), the MD-UV380 (dual-band VHF and UHF DMR), and the MD-2017 (dual-band with GPS). The TH-series covers analog mobiles, including the TH-9800 quad-band mobile that is popular with amateur operators running mixed-band installs.
EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested TYT SKUs in our Doral, FL warehouse: the MD-380, MD-UV380, MD-2017, TH-9800, plus programming cables, batteries, antennas, and accessories. Programming is handled in-house, and our engineering desk can advise on DMR codeplug setup, dual-band channel planning, and accessory compatibility.
The TYT lineup is the practical choice for security companies looking for DMR coverage on a tight budget, event staff fleets where unit cost matters more than ruggedness, amateur radio operators experimenting with DMR (TYT models are popular with the BrandMeister and TGIF networks), and budget commercial deployments where the buyer accepts the cost-feature tradeoff vs Motorola or Hytera.
Product lines we stock
Our active TYT catalog sorts into three practical categories. DMR portables (MD-380 UHF DMR, MD-UV380 dual-band DMR, MD-2017 dual-band DMR with GPS) for digital deployments at a value price. Analog handhelds and mobiles (TH-UV88 dual-band handheld, TH-9800 quad-band mobile) for amateur and analog commercial. Programming and accessories (programming cables, batteries, antennas, speaker mics, chargers) for fleet maintenance.

Do you stock TYT radios in Miami?
Yes. We stock the MD-380 (UHF DMR), MD-UV380 (dual-band DMR), MD-2017 (dual-band DMR with GPS), TH-9800 quad-band analog mobile, TH-UV88 dual-band analog handheld, plus programming cables, batteries, and accessories. Most in-stock orders ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET.
Can you program TYT DMR radios before they ship?
Yes. Our in-house programming desk handles MD-series codeplugs, including frequencies, talkgroups, color codes, contact lists for BrandMeister and TGIF networks, and zone setup. Send us the codeplug file or the spec and we ship the units ready to deploy. Programming turnaround is typically 24 hours.
Is TYT DMR compatible with Motorola or Hytera systems?
Yes for Tier II DMR conventional operation. TYT MD-series radios are DMR Tier II compliant and interoperate with other Tier II DMR systems including Motorola MOTOTRBO conventional, Hytera, and other DMR manufacturers on standard talkgroups. They do not support Tier III trunked or proprietary protocols like Capacity Plus, Capacity Max, or NEXEDGE. For mixed-fleet deployments, our engineering desk can advise on the compatibility scope.
Are TYT radios FCC Part 90 certified for commercial use?
Most TYT MD-series radios are FCC certified for Part 90 commercial use. We can confirm the exact certification status for the specific model and band you need at quote time. For commercial deployments where Part 90 certification is mandatory, we verify the FCC ID before shipping.
Do TYT radios work with CHIRP or only proprietary software?
The MD-series DMR radios use TYT's own CPS (Customer Programming Software) for DMR codeplug editing. Some analog TYT models work with CHIRP. Our team can clarify per model and provide the right tool, or program the units in-house if you prefer.
