About Vertex Standard

Legacy radio support for fleets still in operation.

Vertex Standard was a Japanese two-way radio manufacturer acquired by Motorola Solutions in 2012, with the Land Mobile Radio business integrated into Motorola's product lines. The brand continues as a Motorola subsidiary for select markets and legacy product support. For commercial sites with existing Vertex Standard fleets, replacement parts, batteries, antennas, and accessories remain critical to keeping deployments operational through the natural lifecycle of the equipment.

EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested Vertex Standard legacy parts and accessories in our Doral, FL warehouse: FNB-series batteries (FNB-V92Li, FNB-V103Li, FNB-V133, FNB-V134 and compatible cells), ATU-series antennas, programming cables, belt clips, speaker mics, chargers, and replacement audio accessories. Select remaining VX-261, VX-451, EVX-261, and EVX-534 inventory is available when sourceable. We also handle RMA cases for warrantied legacy units through Motorola service channels.

For new deployments or fleet expansion where a Vertex Standard fleet is being grown, our engineering team can recommend Motorola Solutions equivalent models (MOTOTRBO XPR series, CP series, CLS series) and quote migration paths that preserve frequency programming, accessory pools, and zone configurations. The goal is to keep the operating fleet intact while phasing toward an actively-produced platform on a timeline that fits your capex cycle.

Product lines we support

Our active Vertex Standard support catalog sorts into four practical categories. Replacement batteries (FNB-V133, FNB-V134, FNB-V92Li, FNB-V103Li and compatible cells) for the most common VX and EVX deployments. Antennas (ATU-6, ATU-8 series and compatible whip and stubby antennas). Programming and accessories (CT-44 and equivalent programming cables, belt clips, speaker mics, headsets, chargers). Migration consulting for fleets moving from VX-series to Motorola MOTOTRBO equivalents.

Frequently asked

Vertex Standard questions, fleet manager answers.

Specific to commercial sites with existing Vertex Standard deployments needing parts, programming, RMA support, or migration planning to actively-produced Motorola equivalents.

Do you still stock Vertex Standard parts and accessories?

Yes. We carry FNB-series batteries (FNB-V92Li, FNB-V103Li, FNB-V133, FNB-V134), ATU-series antennas, programming cables (CT-44 and equivalents), belt clips, speaker mics, headsets, and chargers in our Doral, FL warehouse. Select remaining VX-261, VX-451, EVX-261, and EVX-534 inventory is available when sourceable. Most in-stock parts ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET.

Is Vertex Standard a discontinued brand?

The Land Mobile Radio business was acquired by Motorola Solutions in 2012 and largely folded into Motorola's product lines. The brand continues as a Motorola subsidiary for select markets and ongoing legacy support, but most VX-series models are no longer in active production for the US market. We focus on parts and accessories to keep existing fleets operational, and we offer migration consulting when fleets need to grow or refresh.

Can you program Vertex Standard radios still in field?

Yes. Our in-house programming desk handles VX-261, VX-451, VX-454, EVX-261, EVX-534, and related legacy units. We can read existing codeplugs, modify zones, add frequencies, and reset units that have lost programming. Send us the radios or the codeplug file and we ship them configured.

I am growing my Vertex Standard fleet. What do you recommend?

Since most VX models are no longer in production, the practical path is migration to Motorola MOTOTRBO equivalents. The MOTOTRBO XPR 3300e and XPR 7000e series are common replacement paths for VX-261 and VX-451. Our engineering team can map your current frequencies, zone setup, and accessory pool to the new platform, and quote a phased migration that fits your capex cycle and operational continuity needs.

Are warranted Vertex Standard units still covered?

Yes, for units within the original warranty period. Manufacturer warranty cases are routed through Motorola service channels (Motorola Solutions acquired the LMR business and honors the original warranty terms). We handle the RMA paperwork and shipping logistics on your behalf for in-warranty cases purchased through us.

Can you source specific Vertex Standard SKUs not listed?

We try. Some Vertex Standard SKUs are still available through residual distribution channels and Motorola spare parts inventory. Send us the model number, the quantity needed, and the timeline, and we come back with sourcing confirmation and lead time, or recommend the closest Motorola equivalent if the original part is no longer available.
