About Yaesu

One of the three pillars of global amateur radio.

Yaesu Musen has engineered amateur radio gear since 1956, becoming one of the three pillars of the global amateur radio market alongside Icom and Kenwood. Their portfolio spans HF base stations (FT-991A, FTDX10, FTDX101D), VHF and UHF mobiles (FTM-300DR, FTM-200DR), portable VHF and UHF (FT-65, FT-70D, FT-5DR), and System Fusion (C4FM) digital across most modern models. They also maintain the VX series of commercial business radios for low-tier commercial deployments.

EhubAmerica stocks the most-requested Yaesu SKUs in our Doral, FL warehouse: HF transceivers, VHF and UHF mobiles and handhelds, System Fusion-capable radios, and VX-series commercial units. Programming for commercial VX models, RMA, and engineering questions are handled in-house.

The Yaesu lineup is the default choice for licensed amateur radio operators, emergency communications volunteer organizations (CERT, ARES, RACES), amateur radio clubs upgrading their station equipment, and commercial sites with low-tier business radio needs covered by the VX series. The FT-991A is the popular all-band desktop choice. The FTM-300DR anchors most mobile installs. The FT-65 is the workhorse handheld in the catalog.

Product lines we stock

Our active Yaesu catalog sorts into four practical categories. HF base stations (FT-991A all-band, FT-450D, FTDX10, FTDX101D) for licensed amateur HF operation. VHF and UHF mobiles (FTM-300DR with System Fusion, FTM-200DR, FT-7900R) for mobile and base operation. Handhelds (FT-65 dual-band, FT-70D with C4FM, FT-5DR with C4FM and GPS) for portable operation. Commercial VX series (VX-261, VX-451, VX-454) for low-tier business radio deployments.

Yaesu questions, operator answers.

Specific to licensed amateur radio operators, emergency comms volunteers, and commercial sites running VX-series. For specific build questions or quoting, send us the use case.

Do you stock Yaesu amateur radios in Miami?

Yes. We stock the FT-991A all-band base, FTM-300DR and FTM-200DR mobiles, FT-65, FT-70D, and FT-5DR handhelds, and select FTDX series HF base radios. VX-series commercial units (VX-261, VX-451) are also in stock. Most in-stock orders ship same-day when placed before 2 PM ET.

What is System Fusion (C4FM)?

System Fusion is Yaesu's proprietary digital voice mode (C4FM), used on a worldwide network of Fusion-capable repeaters with the Wires-X linking system. C4FM offers digital voice and data over the same band plans as analog FM, and most modern Yaesu mobiles and handhelds support it. Compatible models include the FTM-300DR, FT-70D, FT-5DR, FT-3DR, and others.

Do I need an FCC amateur license to operate Yaesu radios?

Yes, for transmit operation on amateur radio bands in the US. The FCC issues three license classes (Technician, General, Extra) with different privileges. The Technician class covers most VHF and UHF privileges and is the common starting point. The FT-65 handheld is a popular first radio post-license. We sell the radios to anyone, but FCC compliance is the operator's responsibility.

Can you program Yaesu commercial VX radios?

Yes. Our in-house programming desk handles VX-261, VX-451, VX-454 codeplugs, including frequencies, zone setup, and basic CTCSS or DCS tone configuration. Send us the spec or an existing codeplug and the units ship ready to deploy.

Does Yaesu work with CHIRP or third-party programmers?

Some Yaesu amateur models work with CHIRP and other third-party tools, but most current models use Yaesu's own programming software (ADMS-series). Commercial VX models use Yaesu's CE-series programming software. Our engineering desk can clarify per model and recommend the right tool.

What is the Yaesu RMA process at EhubAmerica?

Send the unit with a brief problem description and the original order or invoice reference. We issue replacement within 48 hours of receipt for units under warranty. RMA forms and prepaid shipping labels are provided after a quick email exchange. Out-of-warranty repairs are routed through Yaesu USA service centers with quoted pricing.
