With a 10 kA+ discharge current rating and a DC spark-over threshold of 90 V, the device absorbs transient energy across a wide response range—from 100 V/s up to 1 kV/µs—before it can reach sensitive switch ports, access points, or IP cameras. Two fully passive RJ45 female connectors pass data at rates up to 2.5 Gbps, ensuring the protector is transparent to modern GbE and 2.5 GbE deployments. The polycarbonate housing carries an IPX5 weatherproofing rating, making it a durable choice for pole- or wall-mounted outdoor installations. A grounding lug accepts a drain wire (up to 16 AWG, up to 40 cm) to establish a low-impedance path to earth, a critical element for effective surge dissipation in field-deployed wireless infrastructure.
