The RF Elements HG3-CC-A20 is an asymmetrical horn sector antenna engineered for 5 GHz wide-band wireless deployments operating from 5180 MHz to 6000 MHz. Its elliptical beam geometry combines a wide azimuth aperture with a narrow elevation angle, delivering higher gain than symmetrical horn antennas of comparable azimuth beam width while maintaining balanced horizontal and vertical polarization performance. The horn architecture inherently suppresses the null zones and pattern ripple common in traditional patch array sectors, providing a stable, predictable radiation pattern across the entire operating band. Two N-Female RF connectors support dual-chain MIMO radio integration, and the 20-degree asymmetrical pattern makes this antenna well suited to point-to-multipoint access deployments where scalable sector coverage and consistent channel-switching behavior are priorities.

Key features & benefits

  • Asymmetrical Horn Beam Pattern — The 20-degree asymmetrical horn geometry produces an elliptical coverage footprint with a wide azimuth and a narrow elevation beam, enabling higher gain than a symmetrical horn of the same azimuth width without sacrificing horizontal coverage.
  • Wide-Band 5 GHz Operation — Covers 5180 MHz to 6000 MHz in a single antenna, accommodating the full unlicensed U-NII-1 through U-NII-3 frequency space and supporting multi-channel or DFS-capable deployments without antenna changes.
  • Stable Radiation Pattern Across Full Band — Pattern consistency from 5180 to 6000 MHz reduces re-alignment requirements when switching channels, contributing directly to more predictable network planning and reliable channel management.
  • Balanced H and V Beam Performance — Closely matched horizontal and vertical beam characteristics support dual-polarization MIMO radios, helping preserve spatial stream separation and overall link throughput.
  • Excellent VSWR Performance — Low VSWR across the operating range minimizes reflected power, protecting the connected radio and ensuring maximum energy is directed toward the intended coverage zone.
  • Reduced Null Zones vs. Patch Array Sectors — Horn antenna physics eliminate the grating lobes and deep nulls that are characteristic of patch array designs, producing a cleaner, more uniform coverage footprint and fewer dead spots in the service area.
  • Dual N-Female RF Connectors — Two N-Female connectors provide robust, weatherproof RF interface points compatible with standard coaxial cabling and MIMO radios used in carrier and enterprise outdoor deployments.
