The ZKTeco MB-160 is a wall-mount biometric terminal combining facial recognition and fingerprint verification in a single compact unit purpose-built for access control and time-and-attendance applications. With capacity for up to 1,500 enrolled faces and 2,000 fingerprint templates, the MB-160 delivers sub-second identity verification while maintaining a local transaction log of up to 100,000 records—eliminating dependence on continuous server connectivity for day-to-day operation. A 2.8-inch TFT display provides clear on-device feedback, and integrated relay, alarm, and exit-button interfaces allow direct connection to third-party electric locks and door hardware without additional controllers. TCP/IP, ADMS, and USB-Host communication are standard; optional Wi-Fi and optional ID/MF card support broaden deployment flexibility across offices, manufacturing facilities, healthcare campuses, and any environment where reliable personnel identification is operationally critical.

Key features & benefits

  • Dual-Biometric Verification — Combines facial recognition and fingerprint reading in one terminal, supporting multi-verification modes to balance throughput requirements with security policy at each entry point.
  • 1,500-Face / 2,000-Fingerprint Capacity — Onboard storage accommodates up to 1,500 face templates and 2,000 fingerprint templates, with optional ID/MF card enrollment for up to 2,000 cards, making the unit suitable for mid-size organizations without additional licensing.
  • 100,000-Transaction Record Storage — Local log capacity of 100,000 transactions ensures that attendance and access events are preserved on-device during network interruptions and can be retrieved via TCP/IP, ADMS, or USB-Host.
  • Sub-Second Verification Speed — Verification completes in one second or less, reducing queue formation at high-traffic entry points during shift changes or peak access periods.
  • Integrated Access Control Interfaces — Onboard relay output for electric lock control, alarm output for programmable audible alerts, and an exit-button (Request to Exit) input allow direct wiring to door hardware without a separate access control panel in many single-door deployments.
  • Flexible Communication Options — Standard TCP/IP, ADMS, and USB-Host connectivity are complemented by optional Wi-Fi, enabling installation in locations where running network cabling is impractical.
  • Serial Printer Support — RS232 printer output (optional cable required) supports EPSON and RONGTA serial printers, enabling on-site printing of attendance or access reports directly from the terminal.
  • 2.8-Inch TFT Display with Photo ID — The color TFT screen provides real-time verification feedback and supports Photo ID display, giving operators a visual confirmation layer at staffed entry points.
