The Epcom LP-PDEG-100-10-11 is a preformed dead end grip engineered for secure, damage-free termination of ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) fiber optic cable at anchor or dead-end attachment points. Constructed from aluminum clad steel and manufactured to IEC 60794 standards, this grip is rated for span lengths up to 100 meters and accommodates ADSS cable outer diameters of 10 to 11 mm. The preformed helical design distributes mechanical load evenly across the cable jacket, eliminating point stress concentrations that could compromise fiber integrity over time. A color-coded marking indicates the precise starting point for application, while the uneven leg geometry simplifies field installation and reduces the risk of incorrect assembly. With a rated useful lifetime of 20 years, this hardware is suited for long-term aerial outside-plant deployments across utility, telecommunications, and campus distribution networks.

Key features & benefits

  • Damage-Free Cable Grip — The preformed helical construction applies distributed, uniform clamping force directly to the ADSS cable jacket without crushing or abrading the cable, preserving fiber performance over the life of the installation.
  • Aluminum Clad Steel Construction — The aluminum clad steel wire provides the corrosion resistance of aluminum combined with the tensile strength of steel, making the grip well suited for exposed outdoor aerial environments.
  • IEC 60794 Compliance — Manufactured to the IEC 60794 international standard for optical fiber cables, providing a recognized benchmark for mechanical and environmental performance.
  • Color-Coded Application Marker — A color code marking on the grip body clearly indicates the starting point for wrapping, reducing installation errors and ensuring consistent, repeatable field application.
  • Uneven Leg Design — The asymmetric leg length simplifies the installation process, giving technicians a clear reference for initiating the wrap and improving overall ease of handling in the field.
  • 20-Year Useful Lifetime Rating — Rated for a 20-year useful service life, this grip supports long-term infrastructure planning and minimizes the need for premature hardware replacement in aerial fiber plant.
