The MikroTik RBmAP2nD is a compact, passively cooled 2.4 GHz wireless access point built around the QCA9531 chipset and delivering dual-chain 802.11b/g/n connectivity at data rates up to 300 Mbit/s. Its small 68 × 68 × 19 mm enclosure conceals a surprisingly capable feature set: two 10/100 Ethernet ports, three independent power input paths, passive PoE output on Ether2, a microUSB port with 1 A output, and a RouterOS Level 4 license that unlocks the full breadth of MikroTik's routing, firewall, and wireless management tools. The result is a purpose-built node for deployments where space and power flexibility matter — small offices, hospitality environments, travel kits, and embedded or infrastructure installations where a full-sized AP would be impractical.

Key features & benefits

  • Dual-Chain 2.4 GHz 802.11b/g/n — A 2×2 wireless implementation on the 2.4 GHz band with 802.11b/g/n support reaches data rates up to 300 Mbit/s, providing reliable coverage for everyday connectivity workloads without requiring a separate external radio module.
  • Three Independent Power Input Options — The RBmAP2nD accepts power through a DC jack (8–57 V), 802.3af/at PoE-in (12–57 V), or microUSB, giving installers the freedom to choose whichever power path fits the existing infrastructure with no adapters or splitters required.
  • Passive PoE Output on Ether2 — When supplied with 18–30 V, Ether2 can pass up to 0.5 A of passive PoE to a downstream device, allowing a single cable run to power both the RBmAP2nD and one connected peripheral simultaneously.
  • RouterOS Level 4 License — The included RouterOS Level 4 license provides access to MikroTik's full routing, switching, firewall, hotspot, VPN, and wireless management feature set, eliminating the need for separate licensing costs in professional and commercial deployments.
  • microUSB Port with 1 A Output — A microUSB type AB port with up to 1 A of output and USB power reset capability serves both as an alternative power input and as a powered output for low-draw accessories or diagnostic tools.
  • Passive Cooling and Compact Form Factor — At 68 × 68 × 19 mm with no active cooling components, the unit generates no fan noise, has no moving parts to fail, and can be installed in tight or enclosed spaces where airflow is limited.
  • Integrated 1.2 dBi Antenna — The on-board 1.2 dBi antenna eliminates the need for external antenna procurement or installation, keeping the deployment footprint minimal while providing consistent omnidirectional 2.4 GHz coverage.
  • Onboard Environmental Monitoring — A PCB temperature monitor and voltage monitor are integrated into the hardware, enabling RouterOS to log and alert on thermal and power conditions — a practical safeguard for unattended or remotely managed installations.
